I've had two male bettas for about a year. They both have seperate, nice big tanks that I clean once a week.

Recently I've noticed that the two long fins that hang down on either side of the front, have changed a bit. Only on one of the fish.

The tips have become white. I have heard that this can be a sign of fin rot. However they are not appaering on any other fins, and I keep the water clean. Also he seems a little more listless then usual.

Any advice or suggestions as to what this may be?

Thank you.

When you say white you mean as in color or like fungus is growing on them? Like are they fuzzy looking?

Fin rot you may also start to see the fins look like their being torn up.

Sometimes bettas colors change as they get older because of age and also because of the food they are being fed.

I've seen betta colors changed to a certain extent, but it's hard to tell from your description. A quality picture of the betta would be helpful.

God Bless,
Joshua
