my brother in law has a koi angle which is having real trouble swimming off the bottom of his tank and when it does it seems to use all its energy getting anywhere. it has been like it for about two weeks and is still feeding regulary. when it is swimming its fins and colour all look good and other than the swim thing it looks fine. HELP!!!!
the tank stats are all normal and the p.h. is just over 7, its in a 350ltr corner tank and is about 2 and a half years old. not long ago it was part of a breeding pair so the tank set up should be o.k.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like swim bladder but once it progressed hard to cure.
Try him on some shelled peas if he's still eating.

i,ll let him know, how do you prepare them? are frozen peas o.k? do they need par boiling? thanks wilder. :good:

Frozen peas are the best, cook in boiling water for a few minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell, mush between fingers and add to the tank.
Good luck.
