he is in a 185 litre tank with 8 small neon teras, 1 swordtail, 2 angel fish, 3 danios and 3 others that i can't remember the name of. i know i should not put him with angel fish but i am of the mind if i want that fish i will try it and if i fail i won't do it again. Funnily enough siamese is being very territorial but not overly aggressive and angel fish seem to leave him alone. Neon tetras are having bullying problems with angels though which is not good. will post a picture soon :good:

Angels and Tetras should NOT be kept with a Betta..... It's askin for a accident to happen and the "See if it happens and if it does wont try it again" attitude doesnt help.... Its ok sayin that but if ya get up one morning and the Betta is dead then it's not gonna be able to be fixed.

Ya best bet is it get him his own tank, even a 1G tank would work better

sorry if I sound mean I just don't want a betta to be torn to bits

i am keeping a close eye on him i dont want anything to happen to him either he is the fish i have wanted since i started up the tank. if i have problems i will remove my angel fish and give them to my friend

Are neons not the natural food for angels?

Im probably wrong.

i have been told that it depends on the temprament of the angels. They were bullying the tetras but was told that could happen to start because of territory, things seemed to have settled down and they all seem to be sharing the tank quite happily (long may it last) i have got a small stand by tank if things change

you wont be able to remove the angels if theres a problem or you'll end up removing every fish apart from the betta, maybe get him a nice 5 gal for himself and a snail or few shrimp, he'll be much happier that way :good:

By the time something goes wrong it might be too late; not worth the risk. ;)
Anyway, good luck with him!

just realy gonna reiterate what has already been said.

move the betta...NOW!! even if you have to float him in a plastic cup or a breeding trap until you sort out permanat accomadation.

agree with what people have said, dont wait for something to go wrong, coz it enevatibley will, and you cant watch your fish 24/7.

oh yeh and angels and neons.... not good mix, you can do it if you get the angels realy small and they grow up with neons as neighbours not food, but still, not worth the risk if you like your fish as pets and not live food.

sorry if people seem mean, but its the welfare of your fish we are concerned about
