ok just ( yesterday ) moved the scissor tails to the 50 g & they look ok but when i put the light on today they just hide until i turned the light off & they started swimming around again

so what is up with them ????

is it coz they are the only fish in the tank ????
is the light to bright ????
to they need longing to feel ????

what is up with them ????

if you have a couple of switches (two lights on the tank), try turning on just one for a few minutes then the other. Another thing you can try, is just turn on the room light for awhile and then the tank. That way its just not a sudden shock of light. Some fish take a few days to get use to their new enviroment. You said you just moved them so give them a few days before starting to worry.
