heres what im doing im shutting down my fry tank for about 2-3 months
what in asking is should i leave the water in there and let it stand or take the water out
till i want to use it again
please help me
all my fry have gone now and the fry i have left are only about 2 months old
so it will be some time before i want to use it again but dont want to keep it running
regards darren

Just transfer your filters sponges from the fry tank into the filter of the main tank you are running, then when you want to use the fry tank again just put the filter media back into the filter of the fry tank. No need to keep the water it would be stagnant - you can take some of the water from your main tank for the fry tank and then just top the main tank up.

If theres no room in your main tanks filter for the extra sponges then just run the fry filter alongside in your main tank to keep the bacteria alive until you need it again.
