Fish Fanatic
Morning all,
I'm wanting a little advice regarding the latest additions to our tank, amano (x2) and CRS (x6). They've been in the tank for 2 weeks which was set up with mature media on the 4th January. Our levels have always been fine (0ppm ammonia and nirite with nitrate never over 20ppm) and stocked with ember tetras, panda corys and 2 honey gouramis. Whilst the amanos are really active and seem very healthy (shed twice already!) the CRS are nowhere to be seen. I saw 4 last night but none today.
Test results this morning;
pH: 7.4
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 10ppm (I know RCS are particularly sensitive to nitrate levels but I am under the impression this is unlikely to be a prob till >20ppm??)
The stocking for shrimp was advised by my LFS; I'm curious to, incase of the worst case scenario (they're dead or been nommed by the gouramis) which other shrimp maybe compatible with the amanos?? The CRS were all about an inch in size so doubting they have been eaten.
Any advice will be appreciated, regards, Jay
