I read your shrimp FAQ and it was great but i have a few questions,

The LFS was selling Rock Shrimp, What type of Shrimp is this?

I have about 6Corys in the tank, will these harass the Shrimp?

I do not have any copper based things in the tank,

How will these Shrimp Breed?

Thank you.

Also IN tank,

6Zebras
20ish Neons
1Betta
4Platys

That tank is very heavily panted, and is 200+l .

rock shrimp are fan shrimps meaning they dont scavenge for food they use fans to retrieve it from the water. from my experience with these shrimps they are not very active like cherry shrimp etc as they will find a good spot where there is a current and just sit there filtering the water for food. if they dont get enough food then they will eventually starve to death so may need food put thier way using a turkey baster... mine lasted about 2 months and i didnt even see them until they were on the tank floor dead....!

Mine are very active, climbing to the top of plants, and eating there or finding stuff in between the gravel,

How/Can i breed them/ sex them?

you will probably find in a while you may not see them at all unless you have quite a bare tank as once they have found a good feding spot they barely move.....

They are easy to sex and breed, the males have thicker front legs and the females will carry loads of eggs when healthy.

The baby shrimp are very hard to raise though, requiring salt/brackish water and a phytoplankton culture.

However, your shrimp should never be looking for food on the ground, they should be near the filter outlet filtering using their fans, they will require you do feed them powdered flake food or even better liquid invertebrate food (any LFS that sells marines should have a selection). Otherwise, as mentioned, they just slowly starve.

The behaviour you describe in your shrimp sounds unhealthy (very active and searching for food on the ground), and I've experienced it before.

they only walked to the plants, climbed up to the top and stayed there, when you see them they are quite interesting.
