Shrimp Problem

woke up this morning only to count one shrimp in my tank, the other 5 were in the bottom of the filter. Is there anything i can put over the filter pipe to stop them being sucked up?

I cut the foot part off of a nylon stocking, covered the inlet part of the filter with it and secured it with an elastic band. Works a treat!!

just be carefull as the tights can get clogged up pretty fast which will reduce flow in the tank. this happened to me on a tank in the garage and i lost loads of angel fry as the reuduced flow caused the temperature to drop .......
just keep an eye on the flow
