Shrimp or Snail

I’m looking to add in a shrimp or a mystery snail to my aquarium, we have all guppies and I’m wondering what they would do better with. Additionally do they carry any diseases that could hurt the guppies, should we quarantine them?

i have never quarantined my mystery snails and they lived peacefully in a betta tank and in a tank with white cloud minnows and celestial pearl danios. I have a separate tank for shrimp since many kinds of fish will eat shrimp.

My mutt guppies do eat the occasional young shrimp, though not enough to negatively affect the population of shrimp as a whole.
