I was told this is a whisker shrimp but I'm not sure.

looks like some shrimp that i've just got.

im thinking either red-fronted shrimp, or amazon ghost shrimp.

Yep, it's definately a Paleamonetes sp., the crooked back and stalked eyes are a definate indicator.
