Shrimp Food

People on this site say there is a good food made for shrimp to help with molting and all. I went to the LFS and they said they didnt carry any because they are scavengers. So, should i get them special food, are there any water additives I should use, or is just algae fine (Cherry Shrimp). Thanks

i use sera shrimp food pellets , ground spirulina , hikiari algae wafers and Hayashi mineral powder (once a month) , i also have used hikari shrimp food

Hirashi and sera are both available from Ebay and hikiari are available from most good aquarium stores --- NOT pets at home

Thanks to you both. Unfortunatly, I have found nothing available in the US. Not even ebay. ill keep looking I guess.

maybe you could email the uk sellers on ebay and ask if they will post to the US , if you need help finding the item numbers let me know
i was going to try this next time Minima Breeder Shirakura which is available world wide on ebay it's got the same sort of minerals as the hayashi
also JBL prawn is a good food for shrimpies
