im looking at buying a spray bar and small pump, ive read it can be a good idea to add this while doing a fish less cycle, and id like to keep it after that , seeing as they are not mega bux, why not !

there are so many types of spray bar, spray tablets spray bubbles, im spoilt for choice ! but i don't want to waste money if i can help it , so if anyone's got a spray bar in their tank and they know what its called *brand* can i have a look plz ? and state the name too, thanks guys and dolls !

Is this going to have an air intake? to add oxygen or is it just for flow?

I was going to add a powerhead and spray bar lower down in my tank to add flow to the tank. Just wondered what the general opinion on using a spray bar was.

The area in blue is my spray bar the area's in red are my two air stones. Unfortunately this picture cuts off the last 8" or so of my tank but you get the idea. plus it's an old pic, theirs bog wood and fake plants in there now :)

that photo is just the sort of thing i want to see !

and guys, im not after an air stone , they look cheap, all i want is an air wall running to assist me in the fish less cycle , and then ill keep it for looks more than likely . hence me not wanting an air stone , they work sure, just don't look *pretty* in my worthless opinion

later on i might consider adding a power head with uv filtration *maybe*

the air stones I have are (i think) 4" disc ones with a few pebbles on top to stone them blasting the sand away.

Wilsonian, what did you mean about adding flow to your tank? is it to create a river type effect? i have asked this in a different thread.

Is it so there is current in the entire tank and not just the surface? i'm looking to do the same sort of thing to accomodate my hillstream loaches if it is.

Which post was that in? I know I'm looking at getting a better ltrs per hour filter just to increase filteration. I think it maybe another user aasking about flow :)

sorry your right there mate, must have misread it. That was supposed to be for thefubar. About the spray bar lower down in his tank to add flow.

Thanks, i did read it - but wasn't sure. I was worried about "dead spots" in the tank, and i was looking for an even growth throughout my planted tank. I'm going to leave it as it is right now because i odn't want to start cluttering it up with power heads when deep down i don't think i really need it  - its only a 39" tank.
