I have ruled out the 5ft tank in my living room idea after speaking to an architect friend I'd forgot I had tonight.
What she suggested was genius though-instead of a tank stood in front of the chimney breast, why not a tank built in to the chimney breast! I like this idea a lot, so am researching now. I'm thinking about 2ft high, 4.5-5ft wide, but it can only be about 15" back to front I think due to the depth of the chimney breast.
So, any pics of your built in tanks and any tips on access etc, greatly appreciated
