Should I Take My Rams Out?

ok im not sure since its a different filter to my normal..
i normally use a fluval 205 external for my main tank..
and do 20% water change every 2 weeks..

Well for the time being I would up that once a week instead of every two weeks, but then again it depends on your nitrate levels, but it needs to be below 20ppm for rams, I have 10 outta my tap, hence why I would do more changes, you may not so 2 weeks might be fine for you.

That isnt a very good schedule. Rams are one of the touchiest fish i've ever kept. Mine died. In 7 days after keeping it, it died. My water was perfect, and i feed good quality foods. It was healthy, it lived at the lfs for 3 months before i bought it. I recommend doing a MINNIMUM of 1 25 percent change a week.

it may just be down to filtration, stress i dont think you should base my rams on yours that died a week after adding them..might just be not so hardy as others..
i have less than 10ppm coming out of my tap.. the water is very good levels for alot of fish.

-_- that annoying..i hope i do but the female still had more eggs to lay so it should be fine..

the ovipositor on the female is smaller than the photo graph up at the top of the page but the ram is still swimming slowly and near the bottom so, do you think that she still has more eggs to lay?
