Hi
I have had an awful problem with whitespot in my 240 litre tank. This batch has been so bad that most of the fish have died, some of secondary bacterial infections.
What I was wondering was could any of this bacteria be living in or on any of the plants, there is a furry sort of algae grwing on the java fern and when I removed alot of gravel from the tank it has left a dusty layer over the plants especially on the algae and some of the remaining fish are nibbling on it.
Would I be able to remove the plants and maybe wash them off?? I'm not really sure what to do I just don't want to lose anymore fish if I can help it.
I have already removed all the shells and half of the gravel on the advice of LFS.
Thanks
Sarah
