A few days ago I let my 22 or so endler fry out of their breeder net, theyre about 3-4 months old. Yesterday I found some wee ones :) I think only 3, unless theyre are some hiding within the java moss.

Should I put the breeder net back in there for them? The adults don't seem interested in them at all, so I think theyre safe. I have the filter on the slowest current too, until I can get something to cover the intake with. I don't really like the net, it gets algae on it & generally gets yucky... I'm not sure what to do... What do you think??

Tights are good for putting over filters, they should be fine better than the net.

Thanks, I never thought of that ;) Or I guess I could chop up the net & use that, ahh i'll find something. Now I just have to try & clean it w/out sucking out any babies.

The net should be fine just hold it on with a rubberband, good luck.

I use ladies' nylon stockings to cover filter intake if there's small fry.

Awe I just cleaned my filter out & there were 3 fry in it :( One little guy survived though! They were all my largest ones too, I would have thought they would be the least likely to get sucked up.

I'm using some filter floss stuff from my old whisper filter until I can find some nylons, now I just need to find a rubber band ;)
