Should I Put A Net In My Tank To Keep My Fish A Live!

i have
3 yellow tips
1 pleco
2 male guppies
4 felamle guppies
& my guppies have frys & they just die when born
so should i put a net wall thing to spilt my tanks in half
with the pleco , yellow tips & males in
& put the felmales in the other half

what do you think ????
 
A net thing to divide your tank? I'm guessing you mean a divider? If so, you can do that to give the fry a better chance, but the females will still sometimes go to eat their own fry. It might be a better idea to section off a part and then stick the fry in there as you see them born. Or get a breeder net, or small fry tank. You could go ahead with your plan, and that should keep them a little safer, but for them to be the safest you'd have to take the females out of there. :)

Also, what size tank are we talking about here?

Edit: I saw your topic in Chit Chat, just now, and replied there. It seems you have about a 20 gallon long, but how tall is it? Do you know how many gallons? If it is a 20g long, the divider idea will work okay. There will be enough room on the sides for the fish. Then you just have to decide how to use it.
