my kirbs had fry nearlly 2 weeks ago, and male and female have just started taking the fry around the tank, is this the right time to move the fry to their own tank or shall i leave it a little longer?

cheers

I would move mine 2-4 weeks after the parents had first brought them out of the cave. I found it very easy to just usher the fry into a net with my free hand.

If you don't mind me asking; why do you want to move them? If you dont have many tank mates that are a threat to the fry and provided the parents arn't killing off the ambient population then I would consider leaving them with the parents until they stop caring for them. It will slow down the parents breeding again and give you more time to get the first batch of fry big enough to sell.

Good luck with the fry. :)

Your welcome Guppyman and thank you also for your suggestion of the java fern and vallis, I bought some java fern yesterday so I will see how that goes down. :)
