I'm not sure what to do with two of my danios. One has a white growth on it's bottom lip which has grown in size (see below) and the other has a noticeably humped back (also see below).

Both are aactive and interact normally with the other fish. None of my other fish have any of the same symptoms and the danio has had the growth for a couple of months.

My aquarium stats are:
pH 7.2 nitrate 0(ppm?) nitrite 20(ppm?) ammonia 0(ppm)

The humpback may be due to age as I have had them for a couple of years and they have been through a 360 mile trip in the car and have recently been introduced to my new tank (I decided to do a fish cycle but did use a lot of the old aquarium water and squuezings from the filter sponges- I checked the ammonia levels every other day and they never went above 0.5 before it went down to zero after two weeks)

So what should I do? Should I isolate one or both immediately? What treatment should I use if neccesary?

125L tank with
2 mollies
8 neons
1 cory
1 cuhli loach
4 danios

Oops sorry got nitrates and nitites mixed up! I should have said.....

nitrate 20ppm
nitrite 0

I got confused as in my book that I write my readings in I just wrote NO3 and NO2 and mixed them up!

Well as no one replied I isolated both (the humpbacked one started getting itchy) and have treated them with methylamine blue.

The one with the white stuff on the mouth is mouth fungus columnaris, methylene blue can clear that up.
The fish with the humpback, can be old age, fish tb, to internal parasites.
Check the anus of the fish to see if its enlarged or red and inflamed.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet.

I've had a look and both fish have a normal anus. Both appear to be worse this morning though. When I isolated the humpbacked one I noticed he had lost colour on his belly area  . They are both looking very lethargic this morning, the humpbacked one keeps sitting on the bottom, and the other near the top. I'm glad I isolated them both!

Oh and I have had the fish for a while- about 2 years and they have been through a lot!

Fishies have both perked up :) , and then were fighting  . I went to get advice at a local petshop, was advised that my humpback was just old so have decided to put him back in the main tank so he can't fight with the other one, as there was prob nothing wrong with him but age!

Will monitor all fishies carefully, so looks like I can't get the new fiish I wanted yet!

Good luck.
Keep an eye on them for other symtoms.
