should I get a male?

I have 5 female platies in my tank (and 5 curremtly unsexed fry.. but I'm quite sure they're all female too) and I was wondering if I should get a male to go in with them?

Go ahead and get a male if you want lots more fry! With 5 females and the fry when they grow up all being impregnated by the male you will have lots of fry to contend with! (or a tasty snack for any bigger fish you have)
I dont think the females will be missing out on anything by not having a male in the tank so its really down to whether or not you want lots more babies

Agreed - add one if you want more fry - or wait it out and see how the fry you already have develop.
