Should I Do A Water Change Now?

Hi everyone,

i have just had my water tested again at the LFS and these were the following

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 5ppm
Nitrates 70ppm

i am only in day 12 of cycling my tank and the LFS suggests a 50% water change now.The only thing added to the tank was biozime. Does anyone agree with the water change?

Any advice appreciated.

Yes, definitely (provided you've got fish in there). 5 ppm is a toxic level of nitrites. I would do a 50% water change now, then a 20% daily until levels stay under 0.5 ppm.
What fish have you got+size tank?
