i was just cruising around on ebay and i found this 200 gal tank, but its $400AUD

so should i get it or not?, ive asked the seller to lower the price, and im just waiting for a reply

i found juvie red devil/midas at a lfs for 10 bucks each, so if i get it im hoping to get a few of those for it,

i have no idea what tha is canadian but i'd have to wonder
what quality is it in?
you never know how recent the pictures are,
and on top of that
the picture isn't exactly of good quality itself
you can't tell how well the edges are sealed, or if it is store bought or home made
and does it hold water?
i myself wouldn't take the chance....

I can't even comprehend 200 gal ----WOW

I was just hoping to get a 55gal someday...but 200gal.

THats a huge tank and investment. I would need to see something like that Up close and personal before I purchased it. Its sounds to good to be true.
But I'm just a very cautious person by nature.

So would I. The cheek of someone starting it at $400 when they said "it has cost me over $650 so far". I would never pay more than half for something second hand unless it was a special thing or nearly new and I really wanted it.

Also, you will pay an absolute fortune for a stand for it.

Wait a minute...

The value of money may well be different but according to this converter AUS$400 is equal to £155. That would be good over here IMO. I paid £355 for my 84gallon tank (but that was a full set up, with eheims and fish and stand etc).

Hmmmm, maybe see what you would do for a stand and hood and if you can afford it.

its not that cheap for the tank alone. like already mentioned though the stand will cost a fortune. You could make that yourself for less. and at leasy tou would know the history
