Should I Add?

I have a 4 year old 25 gal tank and like 19 med peaceful community fish I recently got some swordtails 3 to be exact and one died today do to a number or problems but in my quorntine( sorry can't spell) tank. but should I add like 2 or 3 more to my tank or will the 2 I have be fine? Also my other 2 are quite healthy and ones female other male and how many males can you have together?

Altogether in a 25g tank, you can stock up to 25-30 of small-medium community fish with weekly water changes and a good filter...

Live bearers such as platys, swordtails, mollies, guppies, endlers when adding to a tank is best to have 1 male to every 2-3 females (of the same type of fish) so the male dont harras and stress out only one female..

If you want to put males together they will be fine, but like i said, if you do have females, try to stick to the ratio..

Bare in mind that these type of fish have fry every 4-6 weeks, so if you want to keep the fry a breeding tank is best to have and a couple of traps as well ...

I said I had one male and one female. also would a ratio of 2 males and 3 females be fine?, I just like the males more cause of the tail.

No, the males will fight and kill eachother. I found that out the hard way. I had 9 female swords and 1 male velevet in a 30g tank. I bought a male pinapple sword, and the velvet found and killed him that night.

So does it matter what color the females are?, because mine are ruby red but the male has the black tail. I'd probably just get 2 females but I like the pineapple colored and if I could fine the blue tailed ones.

NO, they are all the same fish, jsut different colors.
