I have an outbreak of short (maybe an 1/8") white thread like stuff on my plants and on the glass of my aquarium. It is all over the plants (Stems, top and side of leaves). I did a 20% water change on Wednesday and again today. I dose 1.5ml of Excel everyday. I dose Flourish trace .7ml on Wednesday and Sunday. I have anubias and crypts. It is a 20 gallon tall tank. I have cories, tetras, ottos, and two kribs. Nitrite and ammonia are 0, Nitrate 10-20. pH 7.0, kH is 2-4 (I have to add powder to keep it up). I have a 15 watt nutrigrow light that is on for 5 off 1 and on 5. I had an outbreak of what I think was black beard algae about 6 weeks ago. The excel took care of that problem. The only things out of the ordinary is about a week ago I cleaned the glass under the light bulb. It was filthy. I'm sure the tank is getting more light now. The tank is not in direct sunlight. Temp is 78F.

I can try ot get a picture but basically my plants look fuzzy. I'm not sure it would photograph well.

BUMP

Maybe I should add that I have no idea what this stuff is or how to get rid of it. Any advice? It doesn't appear to be getting any better or worse.
