I've shipped tanks before and never had a crack. If they're moving with you, simply stuff one of your blankets inside the tank and tightly wrap towels around the outside and pack her tight with your other supplies. If you're not travelling with it(say shipping it on a bus/plane) I would find a cardboard box that's slightly bigger than your tank. Then get a 2 styrofoam boxes and cut it into quarters so you have 8 corners(one for each corner of the tank). Now you have padded corners to fit any size of tank. Now put styrofoam corners int he corners of your tank, secure it by wrapping packaging tape around the padded corners . Then stuff towels, blankets, sweaters or any padding inside the tank tightly. Then fit the padded tank inside your cardboard box and add any more padding inbetween the box and the aquarium. Then tape her up on the outside.
I tried to draw a diagram on paint about it. I never was an artist. :p
