Hello I'm planning to ship a couple live aquarium plants within the continental USA, but I have no idea how to prepare, package, or ship them :p I need as much information as possible on successfully shipping live plants. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if it helps but I've had 2 shipments of plants from the same company and they came differently.

The first time they were wrapped in soaked newspaper and then sealed in a bag.

The second time they were just sealed in a bag. I don't think any water was added, it was just very wet from all the plants.

Thanks houndour I have also received 3-4 shipments of plants shipped exactly as you described, with news paper, I just

thought there was other ways of packing them. :p It seems a bit primitive but the plants always arrive in great condition...

Any other suggestions from anyone are welcomed. :D

I think the newspaper sealed in a bag is very common with commercial suppliers, thats the route i would go, just post them immeaditaly when you wrap them and make sure it doesnt take more than a few days to arrive at its destination, then im sure they would be fine.
