Shes Had Her Fry

Hay guys,


Came home from work today and she was just starting to have the fry......My angel fish saw and were on her tail as fast as you could say "NOOOOOOO".
But they were and cought 3 of them ...But I came to her rescue and managed to save 2 fry...yay my babies...lol

Sad i no but i have been waiting for soooooooo long... I'm well pleased!!!

The only thing is I tested the water after wards about 2 hours later and it was manic...high everywhere
could this be due to the birth at all? any help there guys?

Guppies and platies...but these were my 1st fry ever and it was by a Female Guppy

Do you know anything y the water would be soooooo high?

Hmmm . . . I've never checked my water after a drop of fry so I don't know if the high levels have anything to do with the fry. I do know that my female that drops the fry ofen loses a lot of color and is kind of puny looking for a little while after. They seem to perk up though and are fine now.

Good luck with your fry and I will be watching this topic to see if anyone has an answer for your question as I am interested in knowing the answer, too.

your water would not change from the mother guppy giveing birth. even if it did there would have to be 100 guppies haveing babys at once to make a differnece in the water. congrats on the new fry

Oh right!!! cool cheers...just seems a bit weird as its gone so high in such as short period?
how offen now should i change the water with being new fry in the tank?
