Godddd. I don't have a separate hospital tank so can't add salt and she won't eat peas. The water is an odd colour because I added swim bladderinfection medication last night which obviously hasn't helped. The tank is at 25celcius. She looks rather skinny compared to my other mollies recently but idk. What might she have and what can I do. I did a water change recently but my siphon doesn't really do its job at getting rid of poo and stuff could that have contributed. I Don't know the levels of toxic things as my mum is insistent on getting it tested at the fish shop but it tends to be OK.

Could also be worms. For she does look skinny. It also seems that she has got pop-eye. Most of the time that refers to a bacterial infection. It could also be by a bad water quality. But you've been mentioning that the water parameters are okay.

I put some antifungal medication in and she seems to be doing a bit better. After I put some food in she swam to the top all sassy and scoffed some up as she does being a molly. She sunk after though and is now in the best hide in all the tank, under the filter. Any other suggestions are welcomed. I don't know if I mentioned but she has been upright not on her side or anything which usually happens during infections if that means anything.

It's worse than I thought had a good look at her today as she got out the dark and saw a gold flecks on her head. She has velvet and it seems to be on my rainbow fish as well. What should I do.

RIP Ghost (her name ironically) you were such a great a fish with a friendly but sassy personality. I beg my other fish will be ok.

Last update is that the tank is fine now but ghost my molly and my 2 rainbows (was planning on getting more but won't now) have passed. I am glad my other fishes are OK especially my boy Trevor who is a pleco or somin like that idk. Along with my 2 other girlie's candace and cassandra

Before considering other possible fish, it would be advisable to ascertain the water parameters, and make sure whatever was the issue is cleared up.

Taking the parameters first, these refer to GH (hardness), KH (carbonate hardness or Alkalinity), pH and temperature. The latter we had previously, but the first three are important because they can significantly affect fish. If you don't know these, you should be able to ascertain them from the website of your water authority. A test for pH is an important tool for all of us, but GH and KH once you know these for the tap water won't matter provided the selected fish are suited to the water parameters.

What fish are left, and are they showing any signs of whatever occurred?

What is the tank size? Mollies are not small fish, they will grow to 3-4 inches, some 4-5 inches, and they can produce considerable waste. You mentioned this earlier, but it is important to do a good vacuum of the substrate at each weekly water change. And keep the filter clean. Do you know the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?
