My betta Nyx finally decided to eat a pellet that had been floating in the water this morning. Apparently, she likes then to be soaked in a small bowl of tank water and then given to her.. she still doesn't eat as just as Jupiter, Ares or Loki, but she's eating around three pellets a day.

:D Little Madam! I have never soaked my betta pellets, I must admit some of my bettas dont seem to like them that much. I am going to have to get some betta food from on line as all shops round here dont stock the Hikari anymore. Got a supply of fresh food in my water barrel but that will stop soon! :good:

What I do with my food is I crush the pellets to a fine dust using a mortar and pestle any balance of any sort you wish, crush a touch of veggies for smell/taste/fiber/etc, add just enough water to make a thick goopy paste, wrap it like a sausage in a piece of saran wrap, freeze it, peel off the saran wrap, put it back in the freezer in a small container, and then just shave how much i need whenever I need it. it warms quickly and the fishies love it. I think it's rather balanced, as well. i make about enough for a week or two at a time. i got the idea from a way to make goldfish gel food. all my fish love the mush, i make it with different things for their different needs. even my dog loves it. I think it'll help with the problems seen in fish, such as swim bladder defects - i have a goldfish so I don't want to worry about that sort of problem. I feed him a small amount each day because of tank cycling, i skip feedings on sundays, and feed a pea on mondays for super digestion.

but that's just crazy me haha.
