Red tailed sharks become increasingly more territorial/agressive as they mature, but to what extent this happens depends on the individual personality of the red tailed shark- one thing is for sure though, they will not happily tolerate their own kind in the same tank and will also often attack fish which are shark-shaped or look similar in colour or pattern to red tailed black sharks.

The albino shark you have is probably an albino rainbow shark, these have a similar temperment to red tailed sharks.

The bala shark is completely different in personality and needs from the other two sharks, they can grow up to 13inches+ long and are shoaling fish which do best with the company of their own kind in groups of preferably at least 3-5 or more and ideally need at least a 4ft long by 2ft wide tank to really thrive.

One thing i do wonder though, is that if you were told you shouldn't have mixed these sharks together, then why did you?

I guess you're not aware that silver sharks grow up to 15"?
Also, the black shark will outgrow your tank as well. They get to 2ft, I think.

Yeah some sharks should havea bigger tank like the silver shark and pengasius shark.

i do no that both sharks grow very big.but my black shark is only about 4inches at the moment so i can keep him a bit longer and the silver sharks are bout the same.thye seem 2live within a few inches of each other at the moment and seem happy.i already had the rtbs and saw the black shark in a tank on its own and took pity on it so i bought it.im making the tank into a shark and barb tank cos i love both species.

not much you can do with that tank considering your preferences, time to start shopping about for a bigger tank i think!!!

Really you should only have one fish of this type per tank, although they all have different colour paterns they are basicly the same fish and have the same mannerisms. I made a mistake when i had 2 flying fox which only just tolerated each other, i then bought a red tail shark which at first was shy of the flying foxes but it soon got to the top of the pecking order and teamed up with one of the foxes to bully the other fox. I gave one of the flying foxes away before it was killed, i know have one red tail shark and one flying fox in a 290L tank with plenty of cover, they dont get on espesially at feeding times but the rest of the time there not too bad but i know at some point one will have to go!
The bala shark is different from the others and needs to be in a large group in a very large tank!

yea you need to start shopping, you should get atleast 2 more balas. and a new tank. preferably around 120g for all those fish, if you get more balas. if you don't want any more balas you should get around a 75g minimum.
