Sexually Mature?

At what size is a female platy sexually mature?

it's more to do with age and when their 4 moth or so then they may breed.

I'm not sure age. I bought two females that are an inch long. They are for my old male mickey thats 2 inches long. You think they are sexually mature because he and my two marigolds arent harassing the two females at all.

well some males take a long time to mature if there are a lot of dominate males around

I meant if females are mature. My males are mature alrdy.

but what i mean they could be immature males, if they are females then they will be or soon be maturing and breeding.

As soon as they mate will i see black gravid spot? Or will it take some time because i just got the females 3 days ago.

no it dose take time to devlope and some fish may never show a gravid spot in platies
