I got 2 albino paradise fish today.. they're about 2'' .. one slightly larger then the other..

They're in a 10g tank right now until they do some growing.. also had a white cloud get in the bag somehow.. no white clouds in the tank, so it must have been stuck in the net that was used in another tank.

So anyways, I'm pretty sure they're too small to sex, but what exactly should I look for when sexing them.. I don't really plan on breeding them, but if they are male and female, I'd like to be prepared just in case they do breed.

I'll get some pics when they're in the tank..

Any pics, sites, whatever help you can give me will be good.. I've never had paradise fish before.

These annoy me at times and the females are quite simular to the males.

The dorsal and anal fins though in males are longer.
Females may be a little fatter

The topic annoys you? or sexing paradise fish annoys you?

I did think about searching the forum, but I'm having a little fish swallowed rock problem right now so I'm runnin back and forth from computer to poor fish.

I know they're not albino ones but here is a male and female paradise fish. They were spawning but unsuccessfully! I think they are still a bit too young.
The male has longer more pointed fins than the female. The male is on the right.

And it'll end up killing the smaller one. Paradisefish, kept together in a small tank, are a recipe for distaster. I know you're moving them out later but, even while small, they are capeable of harming/killing each other. Unless your future tank is going to be very large and heavily planted, a pair isn't the best way to o either. A large group of females with just one male is better. Males willf ight to the death like bettas.

ok I didn't know that.. I sorta thought I might be able to put lots of stuff in there and they'd survive, but I don't want to risk it..

I will have to move the smaller one somewhere else.. I guess I will have to set up another tank for the lil one.
