Wrll, i bought 2 small cockatoo's yesterday, and they dont have much color. Or e lse i wopuld be able to sex them. One has stripes on it, and the other has 1 symetrical dot on each side. Anyhelp?

About an inch, cant get pics now, but the only real difference is that one is striped and one has a dot on each side.

I hate when people keep posting on their own threads like this.... But anyways...

Do you know which cockatoo variety you have? As far as I know all males should have some colour on them, so more so than others though. Males will grow larger than females, and have slightly longer and more impressive looking finnage.

I would guess either they are stressed or you have two females. If you want a male for certain only buy a really colourful fish.

Apologies, didn't notice this had been double posted and already answered....

The link i gave you in your other thread clearly shows the differences between males and females - check out the pics. :good:

sounds to me as though the one that has the symetrical dot on each side is a female a. agassizi
