I have some balloon molly fry and I don't know exactly how old they are...my female dropped without me even knowing she was even preggers  but I would guess about a month ish old, give or take a little. When will I be able to sex them because I am giving them to a few people and the sooner the better. The biggest is about this big ----- maybe a little more...it's so hard to tell! on a few of them I have noticed some mini fanned out anal fins like on the females, but I can't be sure...I know all fry look like females at first, but they are a month ish old...I haven't noticed any genopodiums, though...any input? thanks! :)

I think it takes a few months to be able to sex them. I have some Molly babies that are about 6 weeks old, and I still can't tell with them. Not even with my almost 2 month old guppy...

okay...and as for your guppy, you can tell if it is a male or female because if it is female it will have a wee little gravid spot (unless it is a blonde guppy) :)

They are all still too small to see any gravid spot or anything like that. For the moment, all my babies still look female to me, which I guess is a possibility, but out of 11 babies total, I'm sure there has to be at least one male or two! =)

oh yea! I just wish I could tell a little earlier...i have people who want them, and idk if they'll want to wait months...haha :)
