Sexing Corydoras

It's kind of tricky. Females are a bit plumper viewed from above, and when they're resting on the gravel, the female's head will usually be a bit off the gravel, where the males will be resting almost on the gravel.
 
females are wider across the body and grow bigger than males.
Once the fish are mature they can be encouraged to spawn by doing big (75%) water changes or lowering the temperature a couple of degrees C.
