I think due to the different shaped heads of both my Angels that they're male and female but I'd love to check and know which is which, have included links to photos and thanks in advance!

It's very hard to sex Angels. Usually when I think I have a male, it ends up being the one that lays eggs. I'm not sure of the sexes on yours, but the fish in that first pic is not normal. Looks to have a deformity there. I would not use it for breeding.

+1 a definite deformity.

I think you would need to wait until the angelfish paired off and work it out from their breeding behavior. Angels are difficult to sex by sight alone.

Usually, if someone wants to breed Angelfish, they will purchase six or so fish when they are young. Then as they grow and pairs form, they separate the pairs into different tanks. Angelfish, like humans, prefer to pick their own mates. The other option is to buy a proven breeding pair.

Angelfish are nearly impossible to sex accurately.

Occasionally fully mature males will show a modest nuchal hump, which is a bump on the head just above the eyes.

However, don't count on it
just got this info off a site

tbh i think i got lucky about 15 years ago with a pair i got they started to breed so i gave them their own tank

unfortunately what i didnt realise was once the female laid eggs again she woud devour all the previous babys up

i was gutted and didnt make that mistake again and ended up with lots of angel fish lol hence 12 4ft tanks lol
