Sex Changing Convicts?

Ok, I have 2 juvenille convicts (about 1 1/2 to 2 inches) in a 10 gallon tank. Well as far as I knew they were both girls. They both have orange on their sides, and neither of them are all that aggressive. But today I was feeding them and noticed something moving behind the terracotta pot in the corner, so I took a closer look, and there were babies!! A huge cluth of wigglers. So one of the cons must be a male. Any ideas?

I know, lol, but they both have distinct orange patches on their sides, neither of them have long veils. I don't know it was just a surprise, lol.
