Hi all :good:My tank is an all girl zone... platys and swordtails.
(I have a few bronze Cory's too, I have a feeling they are boys but they just potter about doing their own thing so its ok lol)
Years ago I had molly's and one swapped from girl to a boy but that piece of information had fallen out of my head until I was looking at my pineapple swordtail girl (maybe lol) and I thought oh no shes damaged her bottom fin, I made a mental note to keep a check on it and over the days instead of it healing it seemed to look more and more, erm <cough> boyish.... so much so I started to Google if Male swordtails always have a long tail bit...I wondered if I had over looked him and assumed he was a she bc of the tail....
(but I'm sure I checked each fish bc I hand picked them for their colours etc)
Fast forward a week or two and I swear that she now had a black line on the bottom edge of her tail that would lead into a sword if she had one...
Anyway I came across the info about the girl becoming a boy if needed and suddenly had the epiphany and remembered my molly did the same
So! (Sorry for the long detailed post lol) if I want her to be a girl can I stop the process by getting a boy? Or is it too far gone now?

You can not stop the tranformation once it has started.
Is it a late male or a female that has changed into a male? These are the 2 options that you're dealing with. If it's a female than it has to be an Aa-genotype female. For those are able to transform into a male. AA-genotype females (which the majority will be) can't change sex.
