Well I've had this 8" green sev now for around 8 months, story about him is that he was a breeding male for a guy who decided that he didn't want him anymore and just wanted rid, so I goes to collect him and can't obviously spot him in any of the tanks, the guy pointed to this 2 foot tank on the flo0r and said he's in there

So I squats down and try to see him, but the water is so murky and then I spot something but it wasn't a sev, not sure what it was and still don't to this day, anyway somewhere in that tiny tank with yuck water were 2 8" fish !!!

So I get this poor blighter home and he hid from me for nearly 4 months, and would only come out when I left the shed, now however it is a diff story he patrols the tank and since I got these young sev's he has come into his own.

Don't ask if they have names, I used to give all my fish names but then got so upset if I lost them that I don't bother anymore, but I have to say this guy has a lot of character.

they are great looking fish mate. i am a sev lover also. if you are intersted in any more sev's have a look in the classified section as i have 2 of my 4 for sale.

Poor guy, glad you found him and made him a happy home, he looks good now as do the little ones :good:

I've got them at the far end of the fh, and keep the light reasonably dim, but now that he has got more confident I might see about sorting out a proper light for him and the others..... not that they mind cause when the rest of the lights come on over the planted tanks it gets reasonable light now.

He was awful when I first got him as he was always dark and I kept wondering why he was called a green severum, could never see it at first.

As for his mates they are coming on nicely now and the largest is about 3"+ and the smallest is around 2", they are Heros' Efasciatus F1's (red face severum), so I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
