He is still quite young, around 5-6".

Beautiful sev! Severum are pretty passive as far as cichlids are concerned. They can get a bit agressive if their tank is too small for them, but otherwise they just chill a lot. That is a beautiful fish though! I actually like the coloration of the brown/green severum when they're juvenile. The golds don't get really pretty until they're adults.

I thought your sev was 3-4"...Must be the green coloration

Not all sevs are nice, there are the occasional evil ones Mines an X-murderer

Yeah, as with all fish (particularly cichlids) there are no guarantees. The demeanor is just a basic guide. Each fish has its own personality. I have a killer goldfish if you'd believe that!
