I also think minxy's 53 gall looks fine, your can stretch stocking to 2" per gall on established tanks if you have plenty of filtration.

There is a difference between having many small fish in a tank and trying to put large fish in a tank that isnt big enough for them to grow and live a happy life!!

The 53g stocking is fine.

The 1" to 1 gallon 'rule' is utter rubbish really as soon as you start talking about any fish bigger than a neon tetra.

Nowt wrong with my stocking, even if I was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over, there is a huge difference, Im not a numpty
