is it a bad idea 2 keep a green severum with a pair of firemouths in a 55g? ive heard so many different answers and i dont know what 2 do. i have no expirience with SAs yet but i've heard both r amazing fish and i'd love 2 try both... is there anyway this would work out?

the problem youll have is any pair of cichlids will get aggressive if they spawn.

so it mite work, but the sev will probably end up boxed in to one corner of the tank by the firemouth parents everycouple of weeks.

having sed that i dont kno how aggressive they get. wait to see what someone else says.....

Make sure your sev is about double the size or a little more than double and he should be ok.

However as with all cichlids, it depends on if you got fish of a good temperaments Lol

I don't think your sev will have too much fun... they'll probably just be fighting back and forth all the time.. I'm sure it's possible, but your fish aren't going to be very happy having to worry about fighting all the time.

ok. thanx. i just wanted 2 know b4 i get anything. if i got get 2 FMs n a serv they would still b young so is it possible 2 get them used 2 each other or is it still a bad idea? i think i might try it but if the firemouths get 2 aggressive i'll seperate them...

yea. im getting the tank cycled and i'll pick them up when im done. i might get 3 FMs and wait 4 them 2 pair and then take the other 1 back
