Fish Addict
My 6" severum which I bought about 3 weeks ago has been acting a bit weird for the last few days and I'm starting to worry.
She's not eaten for a couple of days and is spending most of the time being reclusive and then every now and again darts out to do some silver dollar chasing, which she's getting more aggressive with (but not too bad). She also keeps flicking against the bogwood, scraping her underside. From what I can see, there's no visible damage in that area (or elsewhere) or any parasites, etc.
Some tank info:
520ltr / 135 us gallons filtered by an Eheim Pro II 2028 & 2026
9 silver dollars, 1 oscar and 1 severum. The severum was the last fish added about 3 weeks ago.
PH 7
Ammonia & Nitrite 0
Nitrate 40
Weekly 30% water changes.
I dosed flubenol 15 a week or two ago as I read it's a good thing to do every now and again with feeding live foods. I also added a dose of Melafix a couple of days ago to treat a wound my oscar got from getting over exited at feeding time and jumping, scraping himself on the glass support shelf in the process and getting a wound.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
