I am interested in setting up a small betta tank and was wondering if this sort of tank was ok?

Tank

or this:

Another tank

I wouldn't be sure what size to get, obviously not the smallest size. Then what heater and filter could i add? I have very little space in my room for a tank so i can't have anything too big.

I am leaning more towards the medium size on the 2nd link!!

Another question:

Alot of sites that i have looks at say that a heater shouldn't be used in a smaller tank as it can overheat. But if i used a 50 watt thermostat heater then this should be ok shouldn't it?

50 watts as a heater is for 10 gallon
find 25 watts or find a mini heater
50 watts would already kill your fish
just saying :good:
the tanks are a bit too small
the best small size for a betta to be happy is 2.5 gallon very cheap
found one at my fav pet store for only $20 do you think you have room for this size?
i have pic of 2 gallon

From your second link I have the medium and large size tanks. The medium is 2 gallons and the large is 3 gallons. I would assume the small is only 1 gallon (or less), so wouldn't go with the small one. The 2 medium ones and 1 large one I have work great for my bettas. I use mini heaters in them (7.5 watts).
