Ok i have 4 platys right now and i have them in a ten gallon tank, hopefully this isn't overstocked. Now i dont know what to do after. I see it says add marine salt but how much would you put and i read different sites and they say that some like it and some dont. I'm assuming this might be the reason the one platy got fungus which i am treating at the moment. Also what else would i need to do to complete the tank setup. Hoping someone can help me as i plan on doing this today.

I have 38 baby platys that are about 3 days old and i am also setting up a tank for them would the tank setup be the same for both. Just dont want the salt or anything to kill the babies. As they are doing well at the current moment.

Salt is unnecessary. Just keep up with water changes weekly to make sure the water is clean for the fish. Four adult Platies in a tank is not overcrowded, but what do you plan to put the babies in later?

Ok that works lol. I asked only because i saw that adding a little bit of salt actually can improve their health. I have the babies in a ten gallon tank right now. I am trying to figure out what i can use for the filter so they dont get sucked up any ideas. I heard of pantyhoes and netting but i dont have that so what could i come up with from home. Eventually the babies will be put in my large tank and i will be seperating the males from females. I have two more pregnant platys and i dont want anymore babies after lol. I have pretty many goldfish and i was wondering how i could possibly get rid of them. Want them to go to a good place though. I have 5 tanks going right now and if i can i would like to cut it down to 3. I have my turtles in one tank then another turles in another(since he likes to try and bite the others), goldfish in one, and then the other two are my adult and baby platys. A lot of work to say the least.
