Hi again all,

Aquarium was delivered yesterday and have set up (as much as I can before my test kits, substrates gravel etc are delivered).

My big concern is that the tank doesn't appear fully level which I've read can be a problem due to stress from the weight.

The stand is new and the floor, stand and tank show as being near as perfect with a spirit level. But when I look at it the front edge is not flush with the stand. The gap is smaller than a 1 pence piece probably 1-2mm maximum.

Will this be an issue when the tank is filled? The inner glass is raised about 1cm within the plastic base anyway?

Regards.

I'd call the manufactures and ask them how the tank and stand should stand and look when constructed... they should know about their products and how everything should be.

If I recall correctly, he bought a different stand so they are mis-matched.

1-2mm doesn't sound too bad to me - but I'm not familiar with this sort of problem and wouldn't want to say if it might cause strain on your tank or not... maybe show a picture?

Yea that's right, bought a different stand as wasn't keen on the stand for the aquarium I bought. The fit is perfect size wise though, no overhang or anything.

I have tried to show the gap in the pictures but you can hardly even see it, it is after all very small.

I cannot really see anything wrong at all, thats just the tank trim.

Tank is on a floating base so will not affect the actual glass, just the trim really, very minor, nothing to worry about in my opinion.

Looks good though!
