I just bought a 80l tank today, arriving on Wednesday, I am obviously going to do the whole cicle thing but I would like to decide what i am going to put in it so that i can do a little research. I would like some livebearers. I know mollies like slight salter water but would other things such as platies and swordtails be ok in this water? And can anyone suggest a centre piece fish?

Thanks

Mollies will be fine in anything from low-end brackish water (1.005 or lower) to full marine conditions. Other livebearers like guppies or platies should be kept in low end brackish (up to 1.005, although guppies can go higher). As for a "centerpiece" fish your options are limited with only a 20 gallon tank. A figure 8 puffer would be a nice "centerpiece" fish and does well with mollies but will tear apart guppy tails.
