Seting Up An Overflow Box And Sump ?

I just bought an overflowbox to set up with a sump.Was told it was a Schuran and runs about 2000l.My tank is freshwater, is about 130gallons and contains 9 Pygocentrus Caribe.The fitting on the overflow box is 32mm push fit.

Do i buy 32mm piping to fit into the fitting ?

I am looking to run at least a 48 x 12 x 15 inch sump. will this be big enough ?

What thickness of return pipe will i need ?

What size of return pump will i need? Any recomended ?The water will be pumped up about 3.5ft.


Sorry for all the stupid questions.I`ve looked on the net but i just cannot seem to take it in.

Yes to the 32mm piping

I used an Ocean Runner 3500 with my overflowbox when I had it

Great pumps as are the Eheim 1260's
