When i started up my little 28L planted tank before christmas, my LFS gave me Sera Flore DayDrops as a fert. Having done more research into planted tanks, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's actually any good?
My plants really aren't as good as they could be, although it is a low-tech setup. ~1.5 W/gallon, no CO2, just the Sera fert. Plants are crypt wendtii, egeria densa, java moss and crypt willisii.
I'd just like to know if anyone can tell me if it's a macro or micro fert? There's absolutely no "ingredients" on the bottle or anywhere online.
Would i benefit instead from some Seachem Flourish Excel for example? I've got a slight algae problem and i've been fighting hair and thread algae for weeks now and it just won't go away. I have a UGF so root tabs aren't really advisable. I've heard the added carbon will help indirectly kill off the algae.
