Septacaemia Question

i had septacaemia attack my last two fish i took them out of the tank and brought them back to fish store. its been 5 days of letting my tank sit with no fish. is the septacaemia bacteria still present in the water? can i add fish safely without them being infected with septacaemia?

How have you kept the bacteria alive in the filter without fish have you been adding flakes to the tank.
Water changes on the tank.

yea i added flakes but did a 90% water change

It should be safe to add fish if your water stats are good.
You could always add a bacterial med to be on the safe side when you add the fish.

Melafix is only good for cuts and wounds.
I would add somelike myxazin by waterlife.
